Modding Help Crash/Freeze when touching crops on mod map

    This is an issue I've been encountering with Opalie's Cozy Fishing Farm map (https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/1398) although similar issues have been found with other mod maps, such as Zola's Standart Farm (https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/1285)

    Whenever I try to walk through any crop that has grown beyond seeds, the game completely stalls, and SMAPI disgorges a slew of error messages, until I stop trying to touch that tile. It only happens during Winter for some reason. This wouldn't be a big issue if it only affected the Wild Seed sprouts, but it affects the crops in the greenhouse too. I've tested on Stardew 1.3.33 and 1.2.33 and it happens on both.

    In both cases I entered my greenhouse and walked up into a full grown Strawberry plant. Seems that the game doesn't know what animation to put the crops in, but I have no idea why a map file would be causing this.

    Worth noting that it only stalls (and provides gratuitous error messages) when running through SMAPI. If SMAPI isn't running, the game simply crashes to desktop when I touch a crop.

      Hello that's me the OP of that mod:
      I need to fix that issue. I will be updating the mod today, sorry about that. If you want to know why, it's because I forgot to add the idx 22 on the path layer while making the map. It is a weird bug that doesn't affect everyone for some reasons! But I will be fixing it today.

      EDIT: issue had been fixed on all my map. Really sorry.

        Just reposting what I wrote on the mod page:

        Sorry for the late reply, but thank you so much for fixing it! I really like this map, and that was the one big issue that it had, though there are a couple very minor things I found that could be patched up.

        1) The areas beyond the fences to the right of the map and on top of the cliffs at the top of the map are (presumably) not part of the Buildings layer, causing debris and grass to spawn there. Ordinarily it wouldn't be clearable (except with a mega-bomb maybe) but this issue is actually completely counteracted by:

        2) The rightmost tile of the north loading zone, which leads to the mountains, doesn't actually work, so you just walk out of bounds, which means you actually can reach the debris and clear it by hand.

        So, fix them if you want, but functionally they're not really a problem.
