Closed Crash at character select (new character)

game crashes at character select after creating new character
Moved mods folder out, so no mods installed.
tried both opengl and directx binaries.

forums wont let me post log(complaining about sneaky urls w/e) or upload anything

 

I'm pretty sure that I got a similar error a couple of days ago. I started up the game again, and it seemed to work for me.
Strange.

 

Please post a copy of your starbound.log (you can copy/paste it into a spoiler if you need).
Did you move your mods out before or after creating the character?
Have you tried moving your universe folder out as well and re-launching the game to see if ti clears up?

 

deleting the universe folder seems to have worked, probably has something to do with why my previous characters disappeared after the update.
