Hi, I just bought Starbound on Steam and I'm having problems to play it. My Machine is an Intel N3710 with an Intel HD Graphics 405 (Braswell) running Ubuntu 16.04 with all updates. If I launch the game from Steam I usually come to the menu, but there is no pointer or it quickly dissapears, then it frezzes for 8-10 seconds until it crashes to desktop. If I try to run it from a Terminal I get two different outcomes, if I run the "client.sh" from my "linux" folder (there is only one folder, no "linux32" or "linux64" folder) the game will launch just like with steam and I will get this error: intel_do_flush_locked failed: Input/output error" in the log there are also the following warnings: [Warn] Root: Unrecognized file in asset directory 'mods_go_here', skipping [S_API FAIL] SteamAPI_Init() failed; no appID found. Either launch the game from Steam, or put the file steam_appid.txt containing the correct appID in your game folder. [Info] Failed to initialize Steam platform services [Warn] Error loading player storage metadata file, resetting: (IOException) Error opening file '../storage/player/metadata', error: No such file or directory If I try to run the "starbound" file from the terminal, I just get the following error and nothing else: libsteam_api.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory So, as far as I have researched there is no real fix for this problem and the main suspect is clearly the "intel_do_flush_locked failed: Input/output error" error, if somebody has any guesses or tips on how to fix this I would greatly appreciate it. The game seems really cool and I would love to play it I already have verified the files multiple times. Best Regards.
