Closed Crafting the Sprout's Chestguard doesn't work

I was trying to craft the Sprout's Chestguard. Clicking the craft button did consume 1000 pixels, but it left the Copper Chestpiece and 35 Iron Bars in my inventory, and didn't create a Sprout's Chestguard.

I'll see if I can reproduce the bug, but I'll have to grind 1000 pixels first...

EDIT: from the posts below it seems this can happen with more items, and if you keep trying it will eventually craft (although you will have used too many pixels by then).

EDIT2: indeed, my second crafting did succeed.

 

This happens with the sprout leggings too. Tried again and it crafted.

 

This also happened to me with the Knave Chestguard. Consumed the 1000 pixels but nothing else.

 

Did you make sure the chestpiece was unequipped when you created it?

 

If it's equipped it doesn't count as an available material, so you can't even click the craft button.

 

I crafted all the items on my first try without any issues. :s

 

It also auto equips it. Did you check your equipped gear or your action bar? If you had empty slots it automatically would go there as well.

 

This happened with the Avian pants as well. consumed the 200PX but not the iron or the copper greaves. Unable to reproduce, it worked the second time I tried, while trying to reproduce it.

 

This is connected to a multiplayer server (my own), fwiw. I tried crafting the Knave chest 2 more times in a row and each time it consumed just the pixel and did not produce a chest. I quit and reconnected, and tried one more time and it worked.

 

Yeah, my chest slot remained empty, and the Copper Chestpiece remained in my inventory where I put it after taking it from the chest slot. I could re-equip it, but I was still down 1000 pixels.
