    Hello,

I have a small suggestion that I believe will make crafting in starbound more convenient. I have searched through the forum and I haven't found this yet, so here we go!

On the quantity select menu when crafting, if you could press the back arrow and have it automatically go to highest amount of that item you can craft with the materials available.

So, if I had enough materials to make 20 torches (x2), instead of pressing craft, 20 times.. or, pressing the right arrow, 20 times and then craft.. I could press back once, and it would go from 1, to 20, and then craft! Much easier!

There are a couple of games that use this mechanic, and I find it very convenient.

Just my 2 cents! I love the game so far!

That is cool, I actually didn't know that. Thank you!

    But..

What if I just want to create the max amount of something, and I do not know the number?
Instead of guessing, a simple click, would tell me exactly how much I could make with the given materials provided.

Like I said, it isn't a big deal, but it would be a little more convenient.

    :)

    click, backspace, 999.
it will put the max amount you can craft.
The only issue on this is when you get more than one type of cobblestone in your inventory

    Okay!

That will work for now, thanks for the tip! :)

but I still believe that my suggestion would provide a better user experience, especially for newer players who might have been used to that option from other games, and don't know how to do it otherwise (like me). :p

Just a tiny bit of polish for the end product is all. :)

I agree, a "max" button for the crafting would be a useful addition.

EDIT: Well I've just noticed your "back arrow" solution have actually been implemented :D
