Modding Help Crafting NPCs at a work station

    No, not merchants; using a crafting station to actually make NPCs.

    With the holiday additions, there's NPCs you can spawn; those bouncing gift boxes. Seeing this as an opportunity to create my own robots for my newly made asteroid base, I quickly did a mockup for making a craftable version of the cleaning robot. I got it to show up in the crafting station, but upon crafting, it crashes the game. Here's everything from the log related to the work;

    I figured that it was mad that I tried using assets from both mods folder and the monsters folder, so I copied everything from the cleaningbot folder, renamed everything related to the cleaningbot in every copied file, and linked directly to each thing in the object file (mods/mywork/...). This time, the game hung on the loading screen, an this appeared in my log:

    My god. So, I obviously have no clue what I am doing. Anyone have any tips on making this work?

    The best way to do it is to reference the ironbeacon. If you check that out, you'll notice it spawns a boss on interaction. Instead, you could make it spawn your desired npc. Just change the image and the name and you've got yourself an npc spawner.

    Well, the second case is pretty clear from the error message. You copied the cleaning bot, so now there were two monsters with the same name.

    In the first one, it can't find some related files like the frames image. Does your folder structure for your mod match the original layout in the assets folder?
