Hey all, really loving the game, very immersive :) Anyways, I have a couple of noob questions for you experienced users.

1- What is the reason to build a house if we have a spaceship, and when should I build?

2- Does sleeping make the night go by faster?

3- How do you guys get back up from mining deep into the world when looking for iron and silver etc.?

4- Is there any way to change the spawn point when you first land on the world? If I see a better spot suited for me to set p my operation is there a way for me to beam back to that spot once I go to my ship to stow stuff away?

5- Also how do you guys store the items you come across, and when is it better to move on to another world?

    Thanks all...

    1. there are several topics about this already. At this moment, building a house is only useful for shelter, lots of storage space or just because you feel like building something.
    2. No, it doesn't, it just heals you.
    3. going back the way you came in :p Use platforms while mining
    4. might be added in the future, but at this point you spawn at the same spawnpoint all the time.
    5. You can build crates yourself (which you can place on your spaceship or in your house), you can get chests, etc. Enough space to store all your stuff.
Move to another world when you feel you have explored your current world, or whenever you feel like moving.

1- You can set a home planet and make a house there that can fit more things then your spaceship. Also you can setup a farm for food.

2- No, but beaming back up to your ship seems to

3- Platforms and grappling rope. Check the size of the planet on the navigation screen to get an idea of how deep it is to the core too.

4- Not yet unless you mod the game

5- I personally have lockers and chests on my ship. you can switch planets as soon as you dump some coal into your fuel tank. If you want to mine then you will usually stay on a planet longer. If you want to explore then you will switch planets a bit more often but only scratch the surface of each one :p

How do I access the nav screen and how do i see how deep the planet is?

When you sit in the ship's command chair the nav screen pops up. If the planets is large on that picture, it generally means tat it will be a deep mine to the core.
