Count down timer for Beta Release

Hello all,
To avoid confusion as to when the beta is coming out and at which time I suggest there be a count down timer that ticks down until the beta is released. I hope this can be easily and quickly implemented hassle free.

Note: Not entirely sure if this thread belongs here, but if not can a mod swap it please.

 

You need a countdown clock to remind you when December 4th is?

There's no specific time for the beta, because it's up to whenever Valve decides to update the Steam store with the game. Not even the devs know.

 

No I don't need a clock I thought it would be helpful. And thank you for clarifying the specific time.

 

I've heard two different things regarding this. Either the developers can state for a midnight release, or when steam gets around to it. Honestly i haven't the slightest clue, cause some games get midnight releases, some don't. I'm not expecting to play it till around 3 pm EST, since that's when most games "release", unless CF decides to do something cool and find a way to get it earlier. Though to be honest, earliest possible release doesn't seem to be a priority. So whatever, we'll get it whenever.

 

On my site sidebar http://iLoveBacons.com i have a countdown set just for the 4th, the hour is something we may know only at the day itself.

 

So between other possible choices like Suggestions and Forum Support you picked Starbound General Discussion. SO CLOSE.

Anyway, we don't know what time it's going to hit and neither do the devs. Refer to Tiy's Twitter post announcing the 4th, I'm not left with the feeling that he knows the time.

Where are you getting this 1pm figure from? Also EDT is over... We're back to EST again.

EDIT: ...Did you just link to yourself saying you guessed that time, as proof of the time being factual?

 

Well it can't really be in suggestions because it really has nothing to do with the main game and I don't particularly need support from someone else on this matter either. Maybe Off-topic would be a better choice, but that is for the mods to decide.

 

Valve ALWAYS updates their game listings at that time. The D was me forgetting which was which. It's their choice when it shows up on sale. Chucklefish can pick when to patch it.

That's fair, Suggestions would have been wrong I agree. But forum support may have worked since a suggestion such as this is referring to the site, not really sure. Hmm.
