copper gets useless very quickly (make bronze!)

Im still on my first planet and after 1-2 hours of mining i already got 3 full stacks of copper ... I made the full armor and upgrades ( and the distress beacon) and i got still enough copper to make a copper fortress!. It feels like copper gets useless after the first tier.

A simple short and long term solution would be to add tin ore so we could mix it with copper to make a bronze !. bronze could be use for another tiers amors / weapons and corrosion resistant gears and crafting materials .

( same thing with coal , i got 5 stack of 1000 of coal , my ships tank is full and i crafted something like 2 full stack of steel ... it would be nice if like minecraft you had to fuel the furnaise with coal , or a generator to powerup machineries and stuffs )

Then we also needs tin and your coal suggestion is good enough but trust me you will need that coal later on.

 

I think your batman picture is so cute! & Yes it would be cool if you could build copper bricks for your house if they haven't done that already?

 

Use copper/gold for upcoming electronics.
Use coal to power your vehicles.

 

more and more ores will come soon enough, no need to suggest that.

 

I use copper to repair my Diamond pickaxe, yep it works

well I've scouted around the suggestions for a while, I already know some. This is one of them.

 

The problem isn't the number of ores avalaible, but their few uses after leaving a tier.

Copper right now does get pretty useless after the first tier. Course it does get used again for the copper drill, among a few minor things. Mostly I get it to repair my diamond drill and to refine it into pixels. Seems to be it's best use in mid and late game. I hope once more content is unleashed upon us, copper gets a nice second wind.

Just transform it to pixels to craft hightech and steelblocks and such to build your base later! At the moment, one of these blocks cost 50 pixels and this is rather expesive. 5000 pixels for 100 blocks are not even enough for half a little room
