If you burn an avian to death it should become a roasted chicken. If you kill Floran with a knife(???) it should become a lettuce. If you kill a hylotl with a flail/fishing rod/harpoon/something similar, a fresh fish. If you kill apex and human... Well... Meat?
Falling from a low height: you crumple on the ground falling from a high height: you pulverize into a few blocks of liquid that spreads across the ground, and the game renders it like a liquid. acid: you disintegrate and your bones float to the surface. taking high kinetic damage: you fly back to the nearest obstacle and use the fall animations. taking predominantly energy damage: you vaporize taking high energy damage: you explode into a plume of plasma. getting clawed to death: you fall into little bits. General generic death: ragdolling, everyone loves ragdolls. They're hilarious!
you get killed by any form of bullet(non-laser) rifle a between the eyes bullet wound shows up you go cross eyed then crumple to the ground or a head explosion where you try to feel where your head once was while crumpling to the ground
I didn't notice a death by getting strangled . Nor getting electrocuted.. And there could also be some kind of mosquito-like giant insects those would suck you dry. Not in pervert way.
Well, I guess we could expect atleast some new death animations instead of the silly "pop" death that's currently in the game. And just like Mr. HalfBit said here the Novakids will have their own death animation so I guess we could expect one for each race but maybe not in the first beta release.
As much as special death animations would be cool, I think they should be race specific like respawn animations as you have put. EDIT: Or maybe... have unique death animations for each race. Examples: Disintegration: Human: Crumble into a pile of ash. Apex: - (Similar to human) Avian: Crumble into a pile of feathers. Floran: Crumble into a pile of leaves/petals. Hytol: The three eyes fall to the ground (maybe bounce once or twice : 3) Glitch: Crumble into a pile of bolts. Drowning: Human: - Apex: - Avian: - Floran: - Hytol: - Glitch: Short circuit (possible explode?) Would've done more but gotta jet!
