Controller support, not now of course though

So as the title states, can there possibly be controller support for the PC version sometime after the PS4 version becomes available? I would really like to see support for the PS4 controller since it does connect to the PC and has basic controls. I'm asking this because I played the PC and Xbox 360 versions of Terraria and wished I could play with the controller sometimes. My hands would hurt after playing on keyboard and mouse after some time and the controller fits comfortably even after hours of gameplay. Now, of course none of this has to be any time soon, just asking it you think it might be possible to put in. Thanks

 

I don't see why not.
This game is coming out on multiple platforms so controller support would likely be implemented.

 

Even without controller support, programs like MotionInJoy let you use Playstation controllers on PCs just fine - so it shouldn't be a problem either way.

 

I really hope it'll have full support for the PS4 controller because of it having all new functions like the touch pad. Which could be used for a whole bunch of things. Like swiping from one side to the other could swap just weapons, and whichever buttons that mainly swap items in the quickbar at the top of the screen would swap items normally. Or the other way around. Or it could be like swiping one direction for a quick heal and the other for a quick energy potion or whatever would work there. I'm sure there are lots of ways it can be used, but that's all I can think of at the moment... :L
