there should be a mandatory user input at the end of every day (such as a button or simply a dialogue box that you need to click to proceed) before it scrolls over into the next one. this is so that the game doesnt just go on into the next day, then save over your progress, then to the next day, save, next day, etc. one fix to this would be to show to "items sold" screen from the sales box next to your house even if you havent sold anything. i thought that i had paused the game before leaving my computer for a while, when i came back it was 3 in-game days later and i had missed both a birthday and an event and there was no way to go back.
Ouch. Yeah, there should definitely be this sort of button, I agree. I'm all for it simply being that "daily earnings" page showing up regardless...as that's probably the simplest way to do it. ^^
