KK. Also, I'm considering joining you but I must resist because this game sucks up your free time like a black hole. It's scary that they found a way to make clicking buttons and watching timers addictive also astro empires is better
Honestly, I tried astro empire, and it wasn't as good (I think it tried to be too deep, too many numbers) and if you're willing to spend around (average) £7? A month, a commander will let you queue things, I might get one. BUT YOU SHOULD JOIN US. We play on the x4 speed EU server, Quantum.
I never really found it too deep, but I think it did make the game more thoughtful - the stronger focus on expanding and maintaining a network because of things like limited space on planets and such - made you give a bit more thought to what kind of planets you colonise (on the flip side, it made a lot of planets basically worthless). IIRC combat was a bit more thought out too with a more rock-paper-scissors kind of approach with bombers and capital ships etc. but in Ogame it's basically just a strength by numbers thing.
..you have limited space on planets in Ogame though, depending on which slot they are etc. And Ogame isn't just strength by numbers, not saying it's much more complicated, but research plays a huge part.
