Console?

Hi all you guys already working to bring SB to ps4 and ps vita ?

Any news on that ?

 

You probably shouldn't expect it until the PC version is at 1.0

 

So in a few years. Like 3 should be enough.

 

The game isn't even finished to start work on a console version.

 

Gonna have to echo what people are saying here despite how much joy a console version would bring me and my friends/family. This is the second thread about this I've seen in the last week or two.

Look how unmanageable the game is now. Look how much more unmanageable the online is right now. Think about how much is still missing or even untouched in the game as it stands. If they put that on consoles right now or even this year, it'd be a painful mess to play or even get to work properly and then you have to consider that they'd need a separate team to port and update it. They'd have to do that alongside the main PC version, so you'd have the main team trying to work on the game for PC and coordinate with the console team. I wouldn't expect that in the next year or even 2017, considering Chucklefish's track record with updates and priorities (axes?... server stability!).

 

I think this should stay on PC to preserve the great community. That's just me, though.

 

plus imagine building with a joystick... eww...

 

How long did terraria take to get onto console? Maybe add a year or two on top of that.

Don't expect it anytime soon even after v1.0
