Confused as what to do now

Got myself full golden armor and beat the UFO boss, got a diamond pick, bonehammer weapon thingy and a steel bow. So I'm confused as what to do now . . .

Should I go explore Alpha Sector abit more and find some other better legendary weapons and perhaps some tech items ? Or what should I be aiming for right now ?

PS : I play online alot with my multigaming clan, so we got like 3-4 active people that are on alot, if that helps determining things.

And now someone with a real answer please. I know this is BETA and it's asked from the players to provide such things, but I'm asking gameplay wise as of what to do now. Go troll somewhere else and I'm still expecting a real answer :) ty in advance.

Explore the other sectors. After completing the first boss, you should be able to unlock BETA sector. I know there's at least 2-3 bosses left for you to battle.

Also maybe set up your own personal goals. Like one thing I want to do is find all the Techs.

This is not trolling. This is the most legit answer you can get. Your main focus should be helping chucklefish bug smash and tweak the game through your gameplay. This means playing the game. I do not think the beta is for you. Maybe set the game aside until release and let us real beta testers polish the game.

And of course, your next goal is hiding in what you make with the drop from the UFO boss.

In my opinion your next goal should be grinding all that gear again, because all that's going to happen soon is that all characters will get wiped :D

Thanks for the only real answer :). I like the idea of having goals to reach, but knowing my luck I'll never achieve them. I'm just holding back on going to the BETA sector because of my crappy weapons.

Beta testing means playing through the ENTIRE game to find bugs/glitches. If I don't know what to do after a certain point and come to the forums to ask then I expect a real clear answer instead of a stupid remark like yours. Also, that last comment of yours is extremely childish and immature. I'm having fun with the game, haven't found any gamebreaking bugs yet ( aside from 1 minor one ). BETA not only means finding bugs and glitches, but it's also a way for the devs to see how people are enjoying the game, and to take in some of the suggestions regarding the gameplay made by some players. I'd much rather be part of that last said group instead of going out trying everything possible to create bugs/glitches, that doesn't mean I should give up on the game if I'm having fun playing it.

People with your personality is what breaks communities, people like Affero is what makes them.

You really shouldn't be getting so worked up over this. Some people play games differently, especially in beta; they might want to find bugs or they might want to just enjoy the game for what it is. Bughunting isn't everyone's cup of tea, and neither is playing the game to the full extent at this moment in time.

Steel weapons+Gold armor allow you to comfortably explore threat level 12-14 planets (low-mid range beta sector)
So head out there and have some fun :p

Honestly, it sounds like you already know what to do and are bragging about your progress. You say there are 3-4 of you? Why don't you ask them what to do next, I'm sure they have other goals too.

Do you have an awesome home planet yet? You could work on making some nice houses and whatnot.

Look at each pixel in this game to discover bugs. You shouldn't play this game in this beta stage rather you should work hard to find bugs. Ignore School, homework or real life you don't need such irrelevant things. Work hard for the money you spent in this game.

True and I'm more a person that enjoys the game for what it is now. I am partnered and make youtube vids and making impression vids and tutorials is MY way of helping. How ? Because I often make suggestions in my vids and that actually led to some previous games that I played to take in those suggestions and my idea(s) were eventually implemented in the game.

Steel weapons ? No idea how to get those .-. All I got so far is a steel bow, nothing else from steel.

I disgust bragging. I simply gave the information you saw to help determine other experienced people on what my next step should be. Making a home planet for example is something I haven't done yet and is a really good suggestion. I've been stuck with these starting seeds forever and would love to start up a farm, and having someone suggest making a home planet reminds me of that :).

If you're going to respond like that, then you can be a little hypocritical.

I mean, you come to the forums, and then ask what to do next, and people ANSWER your question, just as you wanted an answer.
All the answers you receive may not be what you're looking for, if it's not what you like, then say otherwise rather than going the "I need real answers now" route.

Don't want to start anything here, but please understand, this is the internet.

EDIT: Seems you're getting a lot of flak, wish you best of luck

No, beta testing doesn't mean playing through every bit of the game. It means testing the mechanics of the game to find the bugs in them. To do that you do not need the entire game. For instance, you do not need every recipe to test the crafting system, nor do you need all the materials for said system since they all are based on the mechanic. Once the mechanic works without flaw, you can check it off the list.

I am far from being the bane of this community. In fact, I will go as far as saying you are a spoiled child. There I said it.

use the molten core from the UFO boss, buy the spaceship upgrade thingy, explore lvl10-20 worlds. when you upgrade your ship you automatical lern new recipes (like steel bars).
atm you can progress up to lvl 40 planets, maybe higher if you change some things in the game files.
there are 3 bosses to defeat (ufo, robot, dragon)

It does mean playing through the entire game ( or what's available so far ). Just because a certain game mechanic MAY seem bug-free, it doesn't mean that some recipes could be wrong. Example -> Steel hunting bow for example could have a recipe that uses Gold bars instead of Steel because of a Dev confusing the two different types of bars out of quickness. Dev mistakes CAN be counted as bugs aswell ;).

You say you're far from being the bane of this community, yet you tell someone it's better for them to stop playing just because they don't play the way you do ( in this case exclusively bug test instead of having fun and giving out suggestions to what could be improved mechanic-wise ).

Fixed that for you. And yes I agree, beta is beta and it clearly states that when you buy the game.
