By all means I should be able to blow this game away. I just got a computer with a 1080ti, Ryzen 1800x, DDR4 Memory, and an m.2 drive. But I'm still stuck on cinematic framerates, especially when I zoom out, because Starbound will only use about 70% of 6 CPU threads and doesn't even touch my GPU. What's going on here?

either Starbound is automatically finding the CPU better, which the CPU likely isn't, and forcing the game to use the CPU, or Starbound defaults to the CPU as it is not assigned to either. idk how to do this other than with AMD, but you need to use whatever settings comes with your GPU and register Starbound to use it.

Please use the big topic for performance issues here: http://community.playstarbound.com/threads/game-performance-lags.124476/
Also try the unstable version. There are a lot of performance improvements.

uhm...don't get me wrong but your post doesn't even make any sense. ^^' Starbound isn't gpu demanding and the values are pretty normal for a 108ti. Starbound is very cpu demanding and the somehow 2 core limitation always caused some problems for some users.

I am closing this topic. Feel free to use the topic i linked above. It makes it easier to keep track of the performance problems in combination with the used rig.

    Regards
