  1. Well, that, when i play like 1 hour or so, my computer just turns off. No warning, it just turns off.
This only happens when i play Starbound, i tested other games and they all run fine and my computer doesn't turns off, so it's not my computer's fault.

I'm having the exact same problem, could it be a temperature problem with the CPU perhaps or maybe a power supply problem, it's very unusual for a game to do this.

There's no way that it's Starbound doing that. It's gotta be your computer dude. I mean if it just shuts off there's no program that can just kill the power.

  4. BUT software can cause overheating etc so check that out, check if your temperatures are unusually high when playing Starbound or maybe your PSU is going all crazy over it? Maybe it's dying? I remember Crysis 2 killed my old 500W OCZ PSU... :p

There might be some sort of bug causing an incredible load on your PC... just make sure it's all okay.

    1. what kind of power supply do you have (brand, model, wattage)
    2. check your bios and find information about computer temp. and fan settings.

I once had a very similar problem a few years back that was caused by conflicts with my processor and the game. The power switch was tripping like a breaker when the PC over heated and when I forced it to stay on the switch melted...so yeah

Monitor your system's temperature and tell us at what temperature it shuts down.

Explore your BIOS, see if it has a user-readable temperature level at which your computer automatically shuts down.

Also? You might consider dropping the overclocking. Your CPU shouldn't ever get hot enough to shut down your computer. If it is, you either have poor cooling (open the thing up and blow all the damn dust out of it, and make sure the fans are working) or you're overclocked to high hell and your cooling isn't sufficient.

As an aside, I once had a customer insist for an hour that "nothing happens" when he hit the power switch on his machine, only to finally get him to admit that the power came on and it froze on the BIOS logo.
