Completely Unformed Planets

I posted here to suggest completely unformed planets to such a degree where a planet is nothing but a flat land of unformed dirt or water based on some ecosystem collapse where the planet has failed to naturally shape mountains and natural resources.

This would give people the option to basically create their own world from scratch, so for example instead of having to add an easter egg Terraria planet/Earth ect, you could give people the option to just create their own.

Think: Those minecraft worlds that are just flat generated of endless grass.

I like the idea of building a planet from scratch, it would be good for custom maps (if possible).

and i think it would be cool if people were allowed to make artifical planets/space stations, death star anyone?

 

Maybe just a ball of magma and you need to cool it down before using it? For me an unformed planet for free is so easy.

 

This will be good, but only if terraforming will be well made.

 

You know this is a really good idea. You would be able to choose the planets atmosphere, foliage,terrain, animals, etc.

Exactly! Then fans wouldn't have to ask for certain types of planets, they can make it themselves.

 

I'd also like you going to an empty space and make the planet from basically nothing, so you can add the core, make it round or infinite, change where mountains and stuff are, that sorta thing. I'd be good for showing off creations/pixel art.

I'm sure someone will create some sort of World Edit like Terraria did in terms of building.

 

I'd definitely make my own space station, besides the one you are given. For looks, obviously.

Also, I'd love to see someone make like a core made of lava, and have like platforms above it and have buildings and such. I would make that my home world

Another thing with these planets, custom coords for things you build. So instead of getting the planet as it's generated, you get the current version of the planet that the original person did. It that makes sense. Also, the other player can modify it, but it won't effect the original host's game.

 

You're onto something here! Suggest that to the forums yourself, I would but I'd hate to take your idea, it's marvelous Click!

 

But what about the resources?
Will there be trees on this planet?

 

Maybe resources, but no trees. The planet should be almost completely unformed.

 

Or you could just make it an option when creating your flat world.

 

I want to travel and find the perfect world, i don't want to see a loading screen for 3 minutes and get one.

 

No sir, the planet would be flat and you would have to grow the trees, create the mountains and add the water.

 

I like this idea. The thought of making my own planet and dumping off all the creatures i catch on it off there would be pretty awesome maybe different habitats almost like a zoo
