    i wish that they wipe will be done soon so i can restart because gathering things now feels a bit useless since i am going to lose it all although i would like to add i really like the sorry at the end of the post its better then the beta is beta deal with crap you useally get

    Would be nice to get some further clarification on how the system is planned to work so that we can make a more informed decision.

    For example, if ALL planets in a system are the same difficulty, then. I'm not too thrilled on that

    But if they're all different difficulty and that's just not shown to the player, I'm ok with with that.

    They reset it when they need to, not because you "think" it's "too early"

    I really don't understand what was so difficult about the current system. It took me a total maybe 30 minutes to figure out what armor penetration meant and what to expect from it. I never even had to leave game.

    I also don't believe the game is too hard. I believe that ore generation could be more balanced so the correct equipment would be easier to craft when needed. Other than that, it was pretty straight forward to understand the co-relation between Armor Pen, Armor Defense, and Level. Don't charge a lvl 10 planet with lvl 5 gear.

    I'm open to change, but please don't simplify the game and make it soft. It's great how it is, it just needs balancing. I'm just afraid that the game is going to get drained, watered down, and made more mainstream. It really just needs some shine I don't want to come back in 3 months and find a shadow of the game I dreamed of.

    Then again, I've played a lot of Rouge style games lately. So I may be in a different mindset with difficulty levels. Overall, I find the game rather enjoyable even in it's Beta form.

    I don't think it should be just fixed health of enemies per level. Would be better to have a base health per level and then modify it with variables.
    I think health should be based on body modifiers and attack of the alien generated.

    Aliens which are slow and have only charge have more health, than an alien which is fast and shoots.

    For example
    Base Health for Level 1 Enemies
    Easy
    - 20
    Medium - 40
    Hard - 60

    Wings = -10% base health + 15% movement
    Small Body = -15% base health + 25% movement
    Large body = +30% base health - 10% movement
    Charge Only Attack [body slam] = +25% base health
    Rapid fire shot = -5% base health
    Slow shot = +10% health
    Powerful shot = Unable to move while shooting. Also requires "Shot" charge up time.
    Buffed shot = -5% base health [Does some sort of debuff damage - fire \ poision]

    that way every alien remains unique.

    since he says the planets will now be 1 -10 i am geussing he meant that a level 1 planet hard monster is a easy monster on a level 2 planet (sorry for spelling errors my english is rusty)

    Personly, i think its gonna be cool to have this system, but how will armor on enemys and on players work? Also, Floran/Avian have best lore. i think humans need more lore.

    It's not up to you and with the rework for the system that's just too damn bad. it was stated from the start that there would be character wipes. Besides its fun making a new toon and exploring these strange new worlds.

    I have a question

    why not get rid of the pickaxe, axe, and flashlight and put it into the matter manipulator? then upgrade the matter manipulator like you do with the pickaxe? nothing would be lost and you would still have to upgrade 1 object. no more taking up 3 spaces. The manipulator also has range, its future like, and you have it right at the start of the game.

    could also give the manipulator 3 beam settings small, wide, large.

    the flashlight is odd to use, I find most of the items are 2 handed making it only useful for quick looks at something before having to swap into another item.

    This is a space game so how come we are using pickaxes to mine a whole planet?

    also why give us the matter manipulator and make us use it believing it could get stronger? when it will just be replaced by 2 tools?

    how is rocks on a stick stronger then a device that controls matter?

    I already know what people are going to say "Cause the game would not be that difficult if you did" I dont think that is a bad thing to be honest cause I have found a skull bone hammer that fires out bones. If used on dirt or mud in 1 hit it can break all ore where it would take the pickaxe many more hits. underground it can break mud in a full body range being much more effective at digging sideways then the pickaxe. And its not a tool made to mine but does a better job at least on mud and dirt.

    You know there's so many people complaining about the matter manipulator not getting an upgrade, but why does it need an upgrade immediately?

    It's a high tech piece of kit, you aren't gonna make it better by tossing metals at it. I'm betting it comes back late game as a powerful omnitool.

    Is it just my luck or do hostile npc's like Glitch, Facility Apex, and pyramid Avians not drop they equipment/weapons? I know there is a supposed chance for them to drop stuff but thus far all I have gotten from any of them has been cruddy weapons, some stims, and a few pixels. Could be that those kind of drops (npc weapons and armor) aren't implemented yet... I was just wondering if anyone else has had luck?

    to be honest i dont mind starting over it will be good to see how the new system will work and starting over is what you can espect from a beta game so keep your heads up devs a start over just means more progress :D

    I don't mind new changes, and if I'm understanding this correctly, I'm hoping that this will allow weapons to become more viable instead of just useful on one planet. My only concern is that I hope these changes will not change the variation and difficulty of content.

    Don't get me wrong, I would like to see weapon level/damage and monster difficulty/damage progress logically, but essentially I don't want this to decrease the variation of content within the game. I know Tiy said that these changes wouldn't decrease the amount of content, but you can still have the same amount of content but just less varied, leading to a stale, rather boring experience. I definitely don't want things to be easy mode either. I enjoy some difficulty in a game, such as learning an enemies attack patterns in order to beat him, rather than difficulty through some abnormal game mechanic (i.e. at starting planet monster has to barely touch you to take out half your life). I guess we'll have to find out how these changes will work.

    sadly no. he won't be compatible with the programing that will go into the update. Most likely he will be read as a corrupted file if he shows up at all.
