Coming back, meteors still an issue?

    It's been a while since I've played Starbound, I quit around the Christmas update because of the excessive meteor showers that would just love to destroy everything you've built on what seemed like every single planet you went to.

    I heard acid rain and meteor showers are hazardous to destroying your homes still, what with rain knocking everything off your walls and still no indicator on what planets have meteor showers.


    Is the state of the game still as wonky as it used to be? It was no fun to build something cool to have meteors fly down over and over. =\

    The meteor are a lot less there...
    I actually had see any since a lot of time...

    Also, I had see the new travelling interface and you will be able to see the weather...
    so let's hope that's for soon.

    Meteors will still come down on you.
    But there are mods which disable meteor destruction.

    Also in the next major update there was a weather UI which tells you if the planet has meteor storms or not.
    The ETA for next update is not known - so no point in asking either way.

    That stuff can still happen, so take that into account.

    Iv haven't seen many meteors in a long time, but they are still there just a rare to see them, But I could be wrong thats based on what I've played.
    Correct me if I'm wrong.

    I myself have never experienced meteors on any planet. Don't know if it's because I don't stay on planets very long or if it's because I don't really build at all.

    I myself have yet to experience a true giant ball of death hitting my home. Mostly because I build in and asteroid biome. Smaller meteors yeah, and the first thing I do is drill diagonally down, even of its obsidian.
