Colony deed glitch.

So i think there is a glitch.
The first colony deed i placed in my ship and a merchant came through.
then a second person came onto my ship without me placing a colony deed so there is 1 colony deed and two people an avian merchant(my first) and a random human girl(just came in randomly).
so i destroyed the colony deed and the random human went away but my merchant stayed, so i now have my first colonist on my ship but no colony deed is placed down, what do i do?

 

try killing the merchant with lava
