Can we not have so much of it in starbound. Make it so that the majority of enemies have to attack you to deal damage not just bump into you.
It would certainly be nice, yes. Save for the enemies that are justified for collision damage, like pointy or acidic things.
I just feel like it would be a bit unfair to not take any damage or knockback from being right on top of an enemy. It would make more sense if enemies who are more focused on ranged attacks would simply deal a fair bit less damage at melee range. Although I support the idea in general, don't get me wrong.
They is a reference to the Devs I believe. I also agree on keeping melee contact damage on enemies that it would make sense for. Not just every enemy in the game aside from the ranged mobs.
