Just trying to post some helpful info. Ever since the new patch there has been a shortage of coal. I could be wrong but now that wood does not power your space ship coal is more valuable then ever. If I am wrong please leave some helpful hints on how to find more but as it stands for me I have having trouble exploring the galaxy! If anyone agrees please vote this up! by the way this is my first post and just wanted to give my helpful incite to the devs as I enjoy the beta and try as I can to give them some helpful info.
I've noticed it too i was on the first planet much longer than normal. There are still small bits of coal on the surface but when exploring do to other issues with the last update (monsters hitting like trucks vs our no armor stat) I was dying form random bird sonic waves before i could get any promising coal deposits. Digging into the planet it got to the point where i was saying oh look MORE gold sarcastically to myself. Sincerely I love how the rare ores are more common I searched for hours making gold armor pre annoyed/Frustrated. Now I could likely make set of gold armor if i wasn't to scared of the random mobs killing me more than the UFO
Agreed. It's a real problem and I'm hoping it gets fixed as soon as possible. Make coal more common, add this to the game proper, make torches non-dependent on coal--all good suggestions. As stands, it's really frustrating.

YES to "fuel" storage yes to more storage room yes to bigger backpack yes to bigger fuel capacity on ship btw we could get an compressor inside ship thingy where is 3d printer is it makes out of 100 coal 1 compressed coal , vice versa out of 1 comressed it makes 100 coal
