Fainting would be a strange way of doing it. But maybe we should just have some complex mind-screw idea to deal it out.
Personally I wouldn't mind having the whole "SOUL" idea.

Oh man imagine? A whole group of zombie you's with all your gear at the time would be horrifying :zombie:

Kind of like where when you die you just float back up as a soul, where your body gets revived?
    That's a good idea too.

That would definitely get rid of some confusion. It seems a lot of people don't like the idea of being just a clone and not the original you.

  4. The "You" is just too epic to be replaced

    Precisely. :rainbow:

  6. No, I was talking about real life. Please, for the love of lucifer, keep souls away from my video games. I got enough talk of fairies and ghosts in my catholic elementary school.

Well there are video games based "soul"ly ;D off of the theories of souls.
But eh it's hard to tell what the devs will do until the game is released.

If you are a robot like me, which you should be because I am superior, you don't need to worry about this whole "it's not me" nonsense.

    Just copy and paste. :3

Well with you it's damn hard to tell if you even have a conciousness or if you're just programmed to think and seem like you do. We mortals have a different dilemma!

Digitize yourself into robot form, you will be happier for it.

    Trust me I'm an engineer.

  11. Or maybe they just won't explain it and leave it like it is.

    Such as in Terraria

  12. Yes, it is a game, after all.

  13. And introducing random foreign concepts does not improve the user experience. :D

When you die, your soul leaves your body. But before it can move on to whatever is beyond the beyond your clone pops out. Your soul then U-turns and enters the clone body. You are You again. Of course, neither you nor the scientists know this. You can't prove it doesn't happen :p Simplest explanation? Just enjoy the game~ The unexplored universe is far too vast to worry about some tiny clone/soul dilemma.

That is merely your cerebral cortex stretching out, making way for a new node of knowledge brought on by bearing witness to my splash of color in the grey void.

Well, that or some cerebral hemorrhaging. Either way call a doctor.

I actually like the idea that the PC is cloned after death, it has a neat sci-fi feel to it.

Okay I'm not gunna, lie you made me laugh a bit there.
And yeah that idea sounds good, I'll go with that! :rainbow:

    What about Mario?
He's died a few billion times.

Well I guess this is proof that it's never really truly explained.
Either that, or every time you died in Mario was actually a different timeline and only the one you finished with was the original. D:
