Bug/Issue Clint gives back wrong tool after upgrade (Unresolved)

Multiplayer Beta: Bug;

My farmhand gave Clint a Copper Watering Can to be upgraded to Steel, but when he went back to retrieve it Clint gave him a Steel Hoe instead of the Watering Can.

I've searched for a fix for this, but I can't seem to find one. Someone else had the same problem and apparently, the Mayor will bring you back your tool, but it will lose all the upgrades.
This is a rather expensive bug and I hope to see it fixed soon.

(Another bug: The farmhand's fridge deletes everything put inside it once the game session ends. Haven't found a fix for this either.)

EDIT: Its the next day, and we started playing again... Uh.. Clint gave him ANOTHER Steel Hoe. Now he has 3. Anyone else get this bug???
