Closed Client-server connection is no longer valid?

[FIXED]

Started last night in the storm when I had to plug out the Wi-Fi.Then I tried to play the game with no internet connection,NOPE

ERROR
Client-server connection is no longer valid


I say ok maybe I need internets to play singleplayer?Soooooooo.......This morning fired it up again (with Wi-Fi enabled and conncted),selected character,and the STARBOUND HAS STOPPED RESPONDING.Then it says again

ERROR
Client-server connection is no longer valid

Any help would be appreciated

 

I replied to you in the thread you necro'd there was no need to create a new thread.

You do not require the Starbound_server.exe to run if your solely playing Singleplayer. Just run Launch Starbound from the Launcher.

But that is what I'm doing,launching Starbound from the launcher!

 

I do have some mods,things that alter the human ship and maybe ooone tham makes dirt flammable...

 

Okay~ Hence why all information is good to have.

Problems tend to occur when you fiddle with a game thats only just been released.

Open steam, Go to your games list and Locate Starbound.

Right click, Properties,
go to Local files.

Select the bottom option to verify your game cache.

Let me know if that fixes your problem.
It will erase those mods that you have installed however.

But its better to have your starbound files fresh and complete to find this problem in order to resolve it.

It's important to note that downloading mods that alter your game files in the current state of development can have severe consequences when the game updates.
It may be better to enjoy Vanilla Starbound until the game turns more stable and updates are less frequent.

 

Okay,thanks again but really I only have stuff that alter the loot in the first chest?

 

Anything goes sadly.
The game is updating so frequently as of now, Pretty much anything could break it.

Fragile comes to mind.

As a last note, Are you able to edit your top post to change the title tag to Fixed/Resolved?
