idk why people assume that the new talent system ruins the vibe of the game, it's literally a replacement for the completely useless stat system.

 

It's fun, I recommend

I personally loved the stat system though, at some points and at certain heroes you'd get stats at early stats and it'd be really good etc
But talents kinda seem broken... for example Skeleton King can have Resurrection without Mana Cost? Kinda upsetting imo.

Do I have more direct control over my character than I do in Smite? Can I go really fast? And are the people really, really nice, no exceptions?

You have less control, and people were very rude and most of them didn't spoke English the last time i've played it

 

The issue with that line of thinking is that every hero gets a similar powerful talent at level 25, and at that point in the game Wraith King gets blown up by carries assuming the teams are of equal power.

7.00 just added more stuff to learn, such as power spikes, etc, and monkey king is OP as fuck. The patch made Dota go from near-perfectly balanced to badly balanced. Too much changed too quickly.

 

Why do people think 7.00 was a balancing patch? It was a "fuck my shit up" patch, the whole point of it was to try new things, of course everything wasn't going to be balanced from the get-go, it added a metric-shitfuck worth of shit, and now, patch 7.02, Monkey King isn't NEARLY as broken as he used to be, and talents are getting balanced as well.
