    The funny part about it is that a lot of people absolutely hated Re:Zero because Subaru was almost TOO human of a character. It's like they were expecting a total badass and were pissed when they didn't get it.

    A lot of his actions absolutely made sense, even if as an observer you knew they weren't the best actions.
    It got kinda depressing to watch week after week though.

    Its the same appeal as darksouls, its frustrating and unpleasant until something goes right and when it does it goes oh so well.

    Yeah, about 4 episodes in I saw a comment about how someone was rewatching it, and he mentioned how mundane these earlier deaths were. Stabbed to death. HA!

    Yeah, I agree. I started with about 5 episodes left, so I didn't have it too bad. But it was horrible.
    I would assume it's because they answer nothing.
    "How did I get here? Who is this witch? Why does this person want to destroy the world? Who is THIS person?!"
    He gets the girl and it ends happily ever after.

    To be fair, they don't answer those questions because the source material hasn't answered those questions yet. You better believe that Re: Zero is getting a second season.
