Quick list for everyone since I rewrote a wall of text a couple times and cannot seem to make it short. (If it makes you guys feel better I voted for Clinton)

1. President is a figurehead checked by 2 other branches of govt.
2. Trump's platform isn't very popular within the GOP
3. The world is not ending
4. America is not doomed
5. Seceding from the union because of an election is stupid and childish and went OH SO WELL last time
6. Calling everyone who voted for Trump a racist misogynistic asshole means you aren't a tolerant person. (The idea of tolerance means not demonizing people who don't agree with you, not this BS version where tolerance only applies to people you agree with) {At least the racists know they're bigots}

Not all of this has occurred in clan, some of it is venting over the doom-saying currently occurring on Twitter/news sites and some points have been omitted because I couldn't phrase them very well or have simply forgotten them.
A lot of the Twitter freakouts seem like young people facing the harsh reality that there are others out there who might not agree with them and it saddens me when I see that people would rather demonize just about everything about a situation rather than even attempt to understand why such an outcome came to be.

 

I like this.

 

oki. I dig the election thing is pretty important and stuff, and yeah complaints and stuff.

But if its going to continue, keep it as unhostile as possible, and please keep in mind that not everyone will share your views.
