So, Progress Update.
For what, you might ask?
Well, I'm pretty sure that a day or two ago I posted something that I made from RPG Maker MV. Since then, I've started on a proper small game thing.

So far, it's not much, to be honest. There's another area, but that's not even close to complete. This one is, though. It's small, and taken me like three days or so, but I'm honestly pretty proud of it.
I'm hoping I'll be able to end up making a proper game on this. I already have a good idea for a world/story/character/setting/etc down, I just need to refine it all, and complete a few more small projects like this to actually get a feel for what I'm doing.
Hardest part will either be Audio or Graphics. I've yet to decide, as chances are I'm gonna try and do *everything* by myself. (Which is a terrible idea.)
On the bright side, RPG Maker MV is actually pretty fun to use. It's nothing like the soul-crushing feeling I get from Unity.
Anyway, if people are interested, when it's done I'll try to get a download link up for it, so you guys can have a go.

 

It's not a square, so that's really good. The details are really good, and I appreciate how there's only one house surrounded by so much scenery.

Can't wait to see what happens when you go into a bustling city.

 

It's going to be a horrible clusterfuck. I don't get how to build houses with these tiles. It scares me.
But, I suppose I'll figure it out eventually.
The one thing I want to figure out at the moment is how to action sequence; I have a plugin which allows me to do really fancy stuff with combat, like make people fly around the screen and stuff.
But, it's confusing as hell and the documentation which it's got is light. It needs simple examples so you can follow and understand, but it doesn't have those, so I'm confused.
Going to tackle that stuff in the next project/game. I plan on doing around three/four in total, with each expanding on my knowledge and hopefully being bigger than the last.

 

To be honest, I didn't think I'd finish Arc 2 for my comic, let along going into Arc 3. As long as you can keep it up, you can definitely do it!

Honestly, this is the first time I've actually felt like I'll keep going at a project/goal. RPG Maker MV is the perfect blend of complexity and ease of use. I look forward to the challenge!

I'll message you sooner or later, but for now I have tons of exams...

 

I've sorta figured out action sequences (The one I wanted works )
But, unfortunately the TP bar doesn't seem to have a way to make you lose TP when you take damage or something. I've even got a plugin to allow changes to how TP functions, but it's just annoying as I was hoping to have it link as a "Focus" meter. So, if you want to use the most powerful spells, you need to set your team up right, guard/taunt effectively, etc.

That said, I'd love to see your VX Project sometime!

Of course, after all it'll be Infinity related.

Unfortunately, I've run into a problem, and I'm really damn confused as to what's causing it.
It's annoying, as I was literally doing the final playtest for the first area, and from what I can tell it's apparently related to skill formulas.
One solution is to uninstall and reinstall all of your plugins. Yay!
i have so many why ;~;
