I plan to first enter all that was on the Metroid series, including light, dark, phazon, peg suit. The standard varia has been adapted specifically for Samus. But what is a birdlike Chozo race, when I try to make original Chozo armor and weapons. But while I think not in the near future.
Sadly I have no knowledge in coding whatsoever... But I might be able to assist with a few sprites. And thanks to a Job related big understanding of Anatomy and Biophysics, a Hobby related big knowledge of experimental anatomy and being a Metroid fan, I might be able to engineer you some designs AND try to sprite em out. An EASY point of start, lore and functionwise, would be the Galactic federation trying to make use od Chozo technology salvaged from Ruins, Pirates and Samus herself like after the events of Fusion where she most likely did NOT get off the hook soo easily, and at LEAST lost her "Special Snowflake status" due to interfering with Goverment research projects, destroying property AND most likely stealing a tactical AI and Transportation... What's better to hunt a Hunter than to Make use of the Hunters advantages against it? (A small background like this makes design choices MUCH easier...)
Any chance you could implement a new crafting station to host all the new items you're adding (Including the ones already added)? Seems like a perfect 'crafting station choice would be a chozo statue

I'm wondering will you add the Spazer beam? I mean that is one of the most used beams in Super Metroid. Also will you add the other beams used in Hunters?
In theory, everything is as it was intended, but given that all of this implemented as the original will be difficult, try to do the same. Actually, I want to make the original Super Metroid beams + Beam and long beam. As for the hunters .... Perhaps, but after the main.

As a fan of the morphball, you have me interested. Do the gravity legs really make you move normally in water? If so I'm adding this to my mod list.
Not really. Little has changed in the behavior of water and gravity legs simply ignores these changes and you move as usual, but a little faster. The unstable version changes do not work, and you move slightly faster. In the future, I shall revise the mechanics. But so far not found a way to increase mobility in the water, without a change of the base fluid. And it seemed to me that the movement of water in roughly similar super metroid.
I understand that few pure plays on the client without mods. But I try to make a first for him. And then I will change towards the compatibility popular mods. For example FrackinUniverse mod. I hope you understand =)
