The code for Agaran tells them to hold Cool Broadswords.
This doesn't apply to the traders. They will unsheathe a randomly generated weapon.

Science has happened.
Woohoo.
The many hardworking scientists at API has uncovered partially how the pods work:

Here is a diagram.
Green represents nutrients retrieved by the highly invasive pod roots. They move up the roots into the pod.
Cyan represents the two spore-producing glands. (Awaiting scientific sounding name!) They will convert the nutrients not given to the specimen inside into spores.
Yellow represents the spores passing through the upper region of the pods where, ultimately, they are released out the fungal appendages.




Just some useful findings. But this has not yet been proven true for the larger pods. The stores are constantly under attack by groups of people in huge mechs. We lost our last giant pod a few cycles ago, so some guidance to the location of one would be greatly appreciated.​

Perhaps its a codex for when quests will be released and it links up with a quest? You receive the codex file from your ship and then after you read it you receive the quest.

Goodness gracious, I can finally tell people why I don't trust Agarans. How wonderful.
