Hello I think it would be very nice, if Charcoal was added to the game... Coal made from burned wood. Charcoal could be used to make torches and to fuel the ship... Unlike normal coal, it would only make 1 torch at a time, and it would only count as 1 fuel, since tree is ALOT easier to come by. Hope you like the idea, feedback welcome -Insanitor
I find this interesting. Instead of pushing fresh greenwood into the ship, wich makes little sence, charcoal would take it's place.
Rather than introducing charcoal, I instead made it a higher wood to coal ratio. You can burn your wood in a furnace to create coal for 15:1 using my mod, as well as get a few other fuel options! You can check it out here: http://community.playstarbound.com/index.php?resources/spacefuel-tamefoxx.8/
Good idea! I found it a bit weird to stuff raw wood into the fuel bay anyway Kind of nice that it's removed lol. But there's a lot of wood out there (giggety) and burning it to get charcoal is something I thought about earlier as well. It's only logical after all
Hehe, i gotta say, i personally had some problems with the Wood fuel myself... It's a freaking spaceship, and it's flying on a Basic Steam Engine xD
