Characters all gone after updating mod

I just updated FrackinRaces from 1.2 to 1.34 and my character list is now empty. The files are still in the folders but the game won't read them. I deleted the new version of frackinraces and put the old folder back and my character list is still empty. What do I do? There has to be some way to fix this bullshit.

Even my backup that I just made five minutes before updating won't work.

 

save your world folder and character folders in a safe place, reinstall starbound and paste them back? Also, be more careful when using mods. Not all are good for you.

 

Delete the *.player file associated with your character and rename one the *.player.bak1 to just *.player

 

Nothing works. I don't understand how this can be. The fucking files are right there and the EXACT same versions of the mods are in the mods folder. I've even deleted the entire fucking game and put in my character backups and they still won't appear.

 

Because they got corrupted and are no longer readable by the game.

Did you restore a backup like I said?
