This is Hope, my current character I am playing as from my personal fiction universe, as I like to adapt them in different universes as it helps me build on them.



Hope is the middle child of the 3 daughters of Prometheus, the Champion of Sophia, Ignis, and Anima, and Elizabeth, the Champion of Lux and Terra. Of the 3 daughters, Hope is most like her father in personality, and in appearance like her mother, but ginger. Hope inherited her fiery abilities from her father, but makes more use of her aerial abilities inherited from her mother. Using her passed-down talents, she hovers in the air and scorches the battlefield with flame and torch and provides a touch of healing to her allies when needed. Essentially Pharah but with more or less rocket launcher, more Soldier heal, and more Mercy glide.



Like her mother, she is much much stronger than her small stature leads on, allowing her to flail around this lengthy longsword without much issue. At least one thing she didn't inherit from her mother was being being born blind in one eye...



Her father's fiery attitude shows at times when you don't want her to, usually during diplomacy or combat. This goes regardless that you should never cross her, lest risk getting burned.



Falling Hellfire from the skies has earned her the nick-name "Red Valkyrie", mostly from her always dressing in red, gray, and gold, but a name that makes proud the legacy of the "Flame Revenant" and the "Amber Valkyrie".

 

I'm really fond of your character's look, and how you introduce her combining pictures, text over pictures and some lines to explain.

 

I think laughed a bit too hard at this "Hope" girl. Well she has personality, I'll give you that, but doesn't she have a little bit of trouble flying, being one-eyed and all? I think I just pictured her hitting a traffic sign, just now... Okay, now I'm done with the dark humor. Do tell us about her relatives!

 

Elizabeth was born with one blind eye, not Hope. This is why Elizabeth in all of my worlds always uses a Spear/Halberd as they are long one directional and aren't as hindered by the one eye.

Please note that all of these characters are adapted from my personal universe, which is a Fantasy world with magic, goddesses, dark monsters that only exist to devour and consume, and a Fell Goddess. These elements take inspiration from universes like Elder Scrolls, SAO's Alfheim, and Total War Warhammer, but mostly from early European Mythology.

Hope's mother was always the Tank/Paladin role while Prometheus was the Rogue/Assassin damage dealer. I made it to where Pro could have easily married Raven, the team's Ranger, instead, and Elizabeth marry Inigo, her backup Swordsman, but Inigo ended up marrying Raven and they lived a happy drunk life. Prometheus ended up "allowing" Elizabeth to stick around and then they went on their miscellaneous adventures until they get roped into the business of the goddesses. That is where the whole "Champion" deal comes in as the Goddesses can't leave their realms so they need mortals to carry their will. After some events involving dying and being brought back by Anima and Lux (Because they need good Champions), Prometheus ended up becoming a Revenant and Elizabeth a Valkyrie. They serve their time and decide that they don't want to part ways and settle down together at the edge of some forgotten backwoods of some quiet village. They have 3 Children; Lindsay, their eldest and most like Prometheus' sister, Riley, becomes a Spellsword and specializes in illusions like her. We already talked about Hope, give some other child some attention. Isabelle is the youngest and not really like anyone in the family, instead having been born with an incredible affinity for magic, mastering intricate spells at an early age, amazing everyone who witnessed it and was named the youngest prodigy of spell casting to ever exist in millennias.

Unfortunately for the girls, they would never have the chance to live a full, happy childhood as their families' legacy of being a long line of heroes was not only a blessing, but a curse. Before Isabelle could even speak, her father went on what was supposed to be another mission, feeding his family by keeping trouble away from the area, usually involving destroying dangerous monsters, dispersing raider clans, and assassinating bandit leaders. One day, Prometheus received word of a growing danger that was manifesting in some isolated and forgotten tomb, so he set out to dispatch it and never came home. Each day Elizabeth waited for her husband to return, but he never came. She had no trace of where he went, and could not go out searching for him as she needed to raise her three children, so she continued to wait. Time passes and Lindsay is nearly an adult, Hope is a young girl, and Isabelle is a little girl trying to master as many spells as she can. Hope barely remembers what her father looks like, to Lindsay, he is just a distant memory, and Isabelle didn't know what he looked like, all Hope had left of her father to remember him by was a pendant that he gave her, and she held onto it because she remembers that he said that pendant made her look like the most beautiful girl.

One day, Hope's curiosity got the best of her, and she traveled to town so she could ask around for clues as to why her father had disappeared. When doing this, she learned many things she had never known about her father, tales of his fearlessness in the face of godlike behemoths, his swiftness and power which he used to topple any enemy no matter the scale. They called him the Phantom Blade as it just seemed that he was near untouchable ghost-like figure which was achieved by use of his agility and illusion magic. Whenever an enemy struck at him he vanished and the only thing true about him was his blade as it always left the deepest of wounds. At this time, Hope was not even certain if they were describing her actual father as this was a side of him she had never known. Near the end of her search, she was approached by a cloaked figure, a frail, shaking old man hiding in the shadows, his life ruled by fear of his knowledge. He approached Hope recognizing that she was the child of the Phantom Blade, and had to make a confession to her. He was the man that sent her father on the mission that led him to disappear, but he was too terrified of what Elizabeth would do to him if she found out he accidentally sent her husband to his doom. The cloaked old man told her where her father went, but he begged her not to follow as it was too dangerous a task. This did not matter to Hope as her mind was racing with the idea that her father might still be alive and that she could find him.

"To finally have Papa back, and we can be a whole family again!"

Hope went racing home, her lungs filled with the cold afternoon air, but as her hand rested on the handle of the door to her house, she stopped, thinking about what she was actually going to do from here. The road there might actually have some monsters on it, and I have no way of defending myself, let alone getting there, she thought. She entered the home and tried to slip into various rooms collecting supplies she would need for her journey. She did not want anyone to find out as she wanted to do this herself, and she did not want her family to worry about her, let alone get hurt going in her place. In the middle of gathering rations from the pantry, a hand reached out from behind Hope and silenced her...

My bad, when you said "...at least one thing she didn't inherit from her mother..." I assumed that she did inherit it, just from her father rather than her mother.
Nonetheless, very nice story you got there. Never played Warhammer, so I won't understand any references from it, but I already like the direction the story is taking. Don't you want to create a new topic for this?

 

The last time I exposed this universe to a public forum it was constructing the rules on how magic should more or less work. Where would a topic such as what I require go?

 

Honestly, I have no idea. These forums aren't very organized, there should be an RP section. I'd suggest here or here, though.

It feels a bit inappropriate to present my personal universe in a thread that features fan fiction about starbound, so I looked about some more and decided I will put it in the Social/Creativeworks/Writing section.

I usually make a lot of characters and want to make them really OP and get awesome weapons and armor before I do anything special.
