We all make mistakes. Some of us may want to forget those mistakes. I may or may not want to forget that I lost my only weapon and died. It would be nice to delete those memories is what I am saying.
I agree, I like to make a few characters and try out different starting locations. My character select screen is full of characters now . I'd like to delete a few of them.
You can go into the Starbound folder (click "Browse local files" after clicking Starbound's properties in steam) and delete files in the "player" folder. It's a bit fiddly and you have to look at the files with notepad to determine which player file is for which character, but it does the trick for the time being.
Thank you for making this post. I was about to make a thread stating that I would like to be able to delete failed characters as well.
