So glad for this update! Now me and my brother can advance into the world of Starbound without worrying about a character wipe!
Actually, AHK is a great solution, and the reason you say it isn't is really simply because people don't know how to write proper scripts with it. I don't use it for this game, but really the limits of AHK are as far as one's knowledge of scripting with it. I do agree with you that the devs seriously need to add remapping of keys though. Monkeying around with alternatives is way too inconvenient for those that need those alternatives, and as far as AHK goes, people generally don't have extensive knowledge with writing scripts.
Okay, now I started as an Apex, and I can confirm it's acid rain, since he kept on getting killed too! This is no fun at all!
I'm running the server on CentOS. Before this upgrade, I use to be able to symbolic link the required libstdc++.so.6 and libgcc_s.so.1 file in the launcher directory. However now it appears it's looking in the actual system folders for the right files. My system is not running the latest GCC so this would take significant amount more work than to link against a folder. Anyone know a solution to this? I'll look later today and see if I can come up with something. here is the error: ---------------------- [starbound@xyz linux64]$ ./starbound_server ./starbound_server: /usr/lib64/libstdc++.so.6: version `GLIBCXX_3.4.14' not found (required by ./starbound_server) ./starbound_server: /usr/lib64/libstdc++.so.6: version `CXXABI_1.3.5' not found (required by ./starbound_server) ./starbound_server: /usr/lib64/libstdc++.so.6: version `GLIBCXX_3.4.15' not found (required by ./starbound_server) Symlinks: -------------- libstdc++.so.6 -> /tools/gcc-4.8.2/lib64/libstdc++.so.6 libgcc_s.so.1 -> /tools/gcc-4.8.2/lib64/libgcc_s.so.1 This use to work just great. Hoping I don't actually have to install gcc4.8.2 on my system in full.
Yaaay! Finally, the patch..... doesn't look like they changed much... wonder why it took so long... oh well, guess I'll update, damn, super-slow mountain internet, gonna take an hour........ okay, installed. Now I can play, click, "play".... oh.... I guess I have to download and install that patch... a second time.... going to take..... two hours this time.............................................................................................................................................goddammit wtf.
I'm not sure if anyone else has noticed this, but I was playing multiplayer with my brother and we were seeing different creature generations on the same planet. The color and attacks would be the same, but their appearance looked different on our screens. Not sure why that is
Hm. I don't know what it is with you guys, but my FPS are completely fine. Also, no keybinding? Seriously? Can't be that darn hard.
Okay, I no longer have the problem with rain. Turns out it was one of my mods. Weird thing is, I deleted the mod, and it kept on happening after the mod was gone, so I thought it was bug in the vanilla game.
No key binding :/ what a bad news. this is making this patch totally useless for me as i cant play Any ETA on such a trivial feature please ?
Only at the end of the beta... and we know that since a long time. Be patient. Also... patch... YEAHH!!!!!! Thanks! *dance*
I agree, keybindings must be implemented! For those poor souls who are left-handed! For those that are finicky with their controls! For freedom! Um, so, yeah. Keybindings would be great.
Hey, I really need help. I have backed up my characters, and saved their data in a folder. But when I load them into the playerdata folder, they don't show in-game. Help, pls?
So can i finally build my house without lossing my stuff next patch?, just wanted to know, i havent played since last patch because i got annoyed that my stuff always get deleted. I have hopes on you guys that this was the last time it happens...
