I like the new content, don't get me wrong, but I think you need to patch/integrate ASAP: 1. Keybindings 2. Chat where you can type russian, japanese and chinese characters. And also whispering / channel making is possible. 3. The Starbound Servers became very unstable / unplayable, u need to fix this 4. Performance (I have an I7, 16 gb ram, 7870 graphics card.....but when i get to a human base the fps drops drastically) DO NOT ADD OTHER CONTENT BEFORE YOU HAVE DONE THOSE 4 POINTS PLEASE!!! Tired of getting harped on by blind defenders any time I bring this up, so I'm glad to see others fighting it. It's ridiculous that this is being utterly ignored. You (chucklefish) are actively pushing people away here, and no, that isn't hyperbole. I know of two people personally, just in my immediate friends, who wanted this game who are rapidly approaching the "will never buy it, or anything else from you" point out of frustration. Telling people to adapt is not only ignorant, but insulting. Sure, great, I'm sure that YOU (random defender) are left handed, and have never had a problem with it, so it couldn't bother anyone! I am highly right-hand dominant. I have better handwriting with my right FOOT than with my left hand, and there's pretty much no way I could reverse to play a game left-handed (I've tried, playing something on my wife's computer; it's just not going to happen). I'll say it again, XP got a hotfix in the FIRST BLOODY PATCH, and that's barely 6% of your playerbase now. Nearly TWICE that number of potential players are left-handed, many of them dominantly enough that "just adapting" isn't really possible.

This has nothing to do with blind defending but this guy types the same aggressive things again and again in a bunch of threads. It's not that people don't understand the need of keybindings, it is the way of telling this and the way of @Whiplashr is definetly wrong. The devs already replied to this matter and it was said that it is NOT that easy to implement, even though he keeps insisting it is. There are obviously some problems with that function and they are working on this. So stop calling people "blind defenders", "white knights", "fanboys" or whatever. This is getting rediculous.

Great news on the patch but like so many others, the stuttering and jumping when on a planet is making it impossible to play
Glad to know I can finally keep a character that I really like, although I'll miss my old one... But as many others have said, my FPS is even more crippled than it was before, leaving me more-so defenseless when it comes to enemies, especially flying ones... Also, for human characters, I'd like to know if we will ever be able to see what color our undies will be, and especially if we could change that color at some point. Believe me, having purple undies isn't exactly what I wanted at all... Other than that stuff, the game is doing great.
Every single response to every single time I've brought this up has been some flavor of "just adapt" or "I'm left-handed and it's not that bad for ME" and it's getting irritating. So yes, I use the term blind defender or fanboy, because that's all the response I've ever seen. In any case, can you help find the link to this dev response you reference? I've never been able to find any sort of response.
Okay I googled and found this article which allowed me to specify additional libraries on the system and it's started up. I did get an error but it works. idk bout you guys, but birds are *STILL* op, this never really got fixed. My Starter weapon was far too useless, even for a starting weapon. 1.25 swing speed and 4 damage? when birds hit me for 50? hmmmmm how bout no. I'm liking most of the changes though =o also, all this build up for an update and still no keybinds or ocean biome? Keybinds are easy, and really should've been done and I've already seen screenshots from hylotl cities and boats from like 6 months ago, what's not working with them? =\ My favorite race is Hylotl and being the only race that you can't find cities or items for is really annoying :I BUT besides all the complaining, thanks for the update.
