I had 50,000 pixels in my ship storage... Fifty... Thousand... Pixels... I am just... I am just so broken right now. that was hours of work wiped away. I mean, at least when I lost the character it just felt like a clean slate. Now I just feel as though I've been robbed.
Except you haven't. You still have all of the items that were on your character, and all of your 3d printer objects. You likely have the gear still, that will allow you to farm those pixels. If that's too upsetting to you, then just get something like cheat engine and cheat your pixels back in.
But wait, That actually works? I thought that just paints over the number, not gives me the real amount.
"Trees can now be planted" was all I needed to hear. The rest is gravy. And since unrefined wood can now be turned into coal, we won't get stuck (as often) on worlds without fuel! But now that the world generation has changed, I hope my homeworld system isn't gone! That planet I found was absolutely perfect and scenic and special and I kind of sank some major resources into a base I knew was going to go eventually. But hopefully the 3D Printer is fixed! I want to print spawners instead of losing them to a glitch!
Is it easier on lower end computers yet? I'm assuming no. ; n ; My computer still overheats when I play which is unfortunate (yet I can still safely play Minecraft / Terraria so it's not extremely low end, just a tad).
No, you simply need to search for the value, change your current pixels b y picking up more pixels, or spending them, and then rinse and repeat, until you narrow it down to one entry.
hell, it still has fps/optimization issues even on high end pcs apparently. i also heard people complaining that nvidia cards are iffy with it. luckily my experience has been pretty smooth with the latest updates, but the devs obviously still have some performance work to do so that everyone is happy. i suggest updating all your drivers and whatnot. it might help.
I know this may not get seen, as there are a lot of comments here, but seriously ChuckleFish- all you guys R.O.C.K. The only games I've been excited about this year were indie games (State of Decay, Spelunky, Starbound, etc). And not to discredit the other guys, but you guys really do work your tails off to deliver an amazing gaming experience. I did not like Terraria, I fell asleep everytime I played it. With Starbound, I'm always super excited to log in and play for as long as I can. I know money is a big thing for you guys- it's why people make games. But I feel like this game is made by gamers FOR gamers- and the money is just like a nice bonus for you guys. You deserve every penny you have coming to you, and I really hope things keep going great for you. Every place I've been to that has mentioned this game has been glowing in its praise, and you guys would have gotten GOTY so many times over in so many places if this wasn't still in Beta (and I forget it's in Beta when I play, as I feel it feels complete in every update you give. It just gets better). TL;DR- you guys rock, and I really respect everything you do. You do it well. Thank you infinitely.
Yeah. I usually keep everything up to date (and it is). I think I actually have a problem with my RAM, actually. I tend to bluescreen whenever something works my computer to it's maximum. Though speaking about FPS, I might try using an FPS limiter on it. It should run at at least 40 FPS. I'll play around w/ it.
Luckily, I was still playing Terraria 1.2+ as I wanted to finish at least most of the new content before playing the "spiritual successor" to Terraria and wait for a few near future updates to allow my characters to last for a few weeks or so. I guess I won't have to instantaneously "enjoy" character/world wipes that comes with such updates. Then again, I did miss out on a few updates or so. Also BTW, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Guys, just go make a tonne of unusual presents. Then poke them with an overlevelled weapon, that's how2pixels the semi-legit way. Recoup your pixel losses!
this game has endless replay value so starting new characters is no problem imo, i have individual chars for every server i play on. its actually fun to make a fresh start with every update and its really not that hard to work your way up the tiers. time consuming maybe but its not time wasted, if some people feel like it is well then i guess they can do something else or just use mods/cheats if they just want a sandbox with everything available right away. to me that defeats the purpose of playing at all but hey to each his own. merry solstice and happy new year folks. at the pace this has been moving i get the feeling we can look forward to the next major update within a week or two.

Well it wasn't the fact that the game is replay-able it, just the fact that I wanted to make sure that at least I could play on a character for a while then have the option to redo the character after an update without a random redo in the middle of playing that character. I will agree that update reloading characters is a good way to keep content in tip top order but still you want to at least go with your character up to the "end" or so. Kind of like how people like to wear out their clothing before switching off to a new one.
