...is there a way to see previously visited systems or co-ords in order to get back where my base is?

I did this too and sat in my starship for a moment and a had a real life "lost in space, never going to get home again" feeling. Was depressing, but it was actually a fun experience. I couldn't find a way to do so though, so I set out in search of a new home planet. Found one even better :p

Hmm, I just have a lot of stuff on the first planet that I really would like to pick up, namely planted crops that I don't have any seeds left for and than kind of thing. The game already lost my planet once by resetting it back to default (after about half a day of playing) and now I have done it to myself as well. Its frustrating.
They could at least add a "are you sure" function to "make home" so this can be avoided.

There isn't a bookmarking system yet, but what i do is set the last planet i visited as home, because i use my spaceship as my house

Aye, that's all well and good. But I don't.
And I can't even check my server cmd log to see the planet loading and shutting down to grab the co-ords as it only keeps a set number of lines and has that many warnings due to not running smoothly at the moment that the line count is reached very quickly.

If it was in your last session on a multiplayer server, then you can get it from steamapps\common\starbound and then look at the starbound_server document. Of course this might not work, but its just something that might work if you're lucky!

Right click on the navigation system when you bring it up until you see solar systems, follow the dotted line on the map. Your travels are marked by it.

Given that I can't zoom out this may take a while but thank you very much!
