The Chameleones are a race that I'd like to see in Starbound. Never heard of them? Unsurprising. I just barely made them up. Basically, they are lizardfolk, but transparent. You can always see the background behind them. That, or another variation of the Chameleones, is that they always take on the color of the block they are standing on. What do you guys think? Cool? Eh? Chameleones look almost exactly like Rango. History of the Chameleones: The Chameleones evolved on a world full of predators. They were privileged to be one of the few non-predator species to survive on the world at all! They survived because of their remarkable ability to blend in with any surface, and through evolving Intelligence for further predator evasion. They are one of the few vegetarian species to survive on their planet, and are quite peaceful. They lived in a wonderful coexistence with all the predator species for several million years, until one day they wiped out every other intelligent and semi-intelligent creature on the planet. Isn't that a wonderful story? Culture of the Chameleones: The Chameleones have an Empirical society, and their leader is the elected God-Emperor. Their Priesthood bestows godhood on the elected official, all of which to date have attempted to extend their terms of office through violence. The Chameleones are incredibly advanced in military technologies, but remarkably behind in transportation, agriculture, economy, terraforming, construction, communication, and other non-military technologies. The Chameleones are obviously a cultured race. With Thanks to the Enlightened Grue for making me realize that a race is more than it's description. Feedback, please.
while its an interesting concept, I think we'd need a bit more information though. Is there any way you could provide us with a greater description of their physical bodies (color irrelevant), a bit of history/back-story, or anything else? Any idea is worth taking a look at, but lets get some organized information first
Whoah my gosh, did I really need to wait for somebody to point this out to me? I'm pretty dumb sometimes, hehe... well, I'll update it right away.
