Challenge run ideas

Hello, so I have been playing starbound with ease. I was wondering if someone had a challenge run idea or something that can make the game more difficult for myaelf. Please do not say use hardcore mode, as anyone saying that will be ignored as I have done all of the modes

 

no armor run
play through the game without using any armor in combat (you can put it on, just not fight with it on, vanity doesnt count as on)

 

Thats a interwsting idea, probably something I might attempt, any one else have an idea?

 

use only crafted equipment

 

how is that challenging?

you can craft amazing stuff.

like healing water bottles and such.

new idea: no healing items beds only for healing as a challenge.

 

i was thinking only in the armor and weapons part, sorry, but yeah it's dumb now that you mention it

 

not entirely. as i said. no healing items save for beds and you are set.

perhaps no throwables as well.

 

Hardcore mode.

 

the only way you are allowed to heal is by status pods

 

Alright, some interesting ideas. i think I'll do that no Regen thing and see how it goes, anyone else think they have ideas?

 

one handed axe only run
no blocking/no swords/no shields
use only throwable weapons

 

Im unsure if thatd be entirely possible since using melee on a few of the bosses is almost nill.

 

ive killed all the bosses using only melee, though no blocking will make them much harder (specifically thinking of dreadwing)

 

Haha, I guess its worth a try. Also doing the no regen run right now to start things up and so far in early game it isnt too difficult. Due to the fact of no regen Ive been planning deaths and once I get my core fragments for example ill just kill my self for fast transport and the only way to regenerate hp without actually regenerating.

This thread is still open to more challange run if you have a unique idea that wasnt posted in this thread.
