For those of you who are unfamiliar with cero blasts, here's a gif. The basic idea is a sort of high-level gun that uses battery power. Some properties: Weapon charging. Higher charge levels result in more battery consumption and higher damage. Focused/unfocused blast. An unfocused blast would hit a large area with low damage, while a focused blast (seen above) would hit a small area with high damage. Customizable colors (possibly using crystals or something). No effect on the performance of the weapon, but it would add a touch of personality to it. I was also thinking that this weapon could be guarded by some kind of boss. Perhaps this creature would use the weapon to attack you during the battle. Thoughts?
I love this idea! Cero weapons have always been bad-ass. A better gif. would have been when ulquiorra went into his Segunda Etapa and used a Cero Oscuras on Ichigo. sorry went a little off the rail, but you know what i mean. I LIEK IT. The colour crystals idea is a little too cliche, and boring too, i mean, how many colours/shades of a colour can you produce? It could be improved if the crystals gave you small boosts of effects, like lower charge time, increased beam size, inflicts some kind of explosion on contact maybe?
As soon as I saw "a la Bleach" I prepared to break out my Amanda Todd speech. On a serious note, this looks like a pretty good. I do have a couple questions 1. Is this a gun, or is it something that shoots out of your finger like the gif? 2. How does one charge this weapon and how long does the charge last?
Funny, I just started watching Bleach again. Anyway.. Sure make laser weapons look more boss. Maybe a staff or a sword that has a secondary use?
1. I was thinking that it would most likely be a gun, with the possibility that the player could create a modified version that fires the cero out of his/her hand. 2. The charge time would probably depend on the weapon's overall power. As for charging it, you would probably just hold down the button that fires it. Another idea I had is a sort of shock wave that radiates out of a weapon's swing, like a getsuga.
A very powerful energy weapon? I think we will have something like that. Sounds like something you'd find on a very high level planet. I need to get back to Bleach sometime. Last episode I watched was... 150? Something like that.
