Carrots Make Florans Uncomfortable

Or at least that's what the inspection dialogue says as a Floran. Now why do you think it makes them uncomfortable?

Probably because carrots are vegetables and vaguely phallic.

Well, the phallicness of the vegetable was the first thing to come to my tainted mind, but I was hoping someone would come up with a different explanation, like it's a plant but its whole body is shaped for stabbing, which intimidates the Floran slightly, but I guess that could be taken as a penis joke too. :/

 

Obviously because in prehistoric times, carrots were the natural predator of Florans... Or maybe because Floran got ssstabbed by a carrot once..

........

I think I am going to stop typing about this now..

Or maybe they just don't like carrots? Looking at the assets, every race has quite a few foods they dislike.

 

Florans don't seem to be picky eaters, they're okay with the majority of produce, even the glitch ones that most other races hate. Only one I can think of where they openly said something bad about it was the feathercrown where they said it tasted like dirt, and who knows, maybe Florans aren't completely against dirt, being the plant people that they are. Or maybe that's presumptuous of me.

P.S. The Hylotl seem to be the worst about turning their noses (nostrils?) up at food that's inferior.

Something you may not know, but carrots cannot be samurai, only ninjas. One should fear a ninja carrot. Every Floran grows up hearing stories of disobedient young Florans getting hunted by ninja carrots.

 

Can't be, Florans are cannibalistic. Your character might not be, but it still seems odd for them to describe their attitude towards edible plants as uncomfortable.

I'm going with the popular theory anyway, which is that a carrot looks far too phallic to a Floran.

 

Florans eat other species, ones that are in an entirely different kingdom, no less. That means that they AREN'T cannibals, unless you have evidence to support them eating other Florans?

Technically, eating a carrot isn't considered cannibalism either, just like Avians eating chicken isn't. But it still may disturb them, the same way a human eating a monkey may be disturbed.

The point still stands. This is actually a ninja-carrot disguised as a samurai-carrot. Arguably considered the worst ninja-carrot disguise, as samurai-carrots do not exist. Still, the disguise of samurai is a tradition for all ninja, and thus the ninja carrot dutifully adhere to the tradition.

Yeah, that just about proves me wrong.
I'm sorry, I'm just sick of people thinking that eating another race is cannibalism, or eating another creature in the same class is cannibalism.
But you make a perfectly valid point with that. That is the definition of cannibalism.

It is odd though, other than that line right there, I've never even heard of Florans eating one another. Mainly, I just hear of them eating other races.
Then again, the Florans are my least favorite race.
