Capturing Monsters is quite fun.

The description of the Capture Pods doesn't elaborate enough. It only works on smaller monsters, like the size of the creature in the OP.

One of the things I tried it on was a chicken :( I really wanted a pet chicken.

It only works on small, land-based monsters. Are you trying to catch birds or large quadrupeds/bipeds?

hmm so I can't capture this guy then?

I've wasted like ten capture balls trying to get this huge gila monster guy only to realize he might be too big.

Looks like the evil, three-legged squirrel I saw...just before it roared like a lion and started shooting laser beams out of its eyes at me.

The monsters have to be little. There are big biped, little bipeds, big quadrapeds, and little quadrapeds. The little variants have different parts and generally look more adorabibble.

Speaking of adorabibble, Happy belated holidays boys and girls! I found Frosty. Also he makes puppy noises. I canNOT even.

Pos. If I could find enough sewage places, I'd have fifty. But I'll settle for my five pos and one unisquirrel.

Wait, you can capture unique monsters now?!

Oh, and for those having trouble with sizes, anything smaller than you can be stuffed into a capture pod.

I have a small, pink, green-sideways-striped quadruped creature with an aardvark snout. His(?) name is Coco.

i was very confused by what people meant by baby/small monsters, i thought that maybe there were slightly smaller versions of ALL of the monsters on each planet, but it actually means the weaker types of monsters on a planet, there is no way of capturing the tough monsters on a planet :(

basically the types of monsters on a planet that are easy to kill are the ones that you can capture, there is no chance of capturing the tough monsters

I really hope they change this. I think capturing unique looking monsters could be a really unique draw to this game, like pokemon but with infinite variants. Pretty exciting. Hopefully they plan on implementing this possibility, because I've seen some awesome big/ medium monsters.

Monster capturing is pretty much all I've been doing after I had unlocked it. The unique variety of all the monsters you can encounter makes capturing them loads of fun~

The mechanics of it can be a bit tedious though since, you need a Capture Pod to recall them, so if you mess up and bring out the wrong monster, you have to either use a pod or get him offed. One thing I'm wondering is the whole "evolution" thing I've read about on the wiki. Is it states that it's possible for monsters to evolve but, the means for doing so are unknown. If it's a WIP function for monsters then I hope they manage to implement that soon.

Anyway here's an old screen shot of my last team of critters.

Not necessarily the weak ones. Just the ones that are smaller than you. This means the low-to-the-ground quadrupeds, and the short bipeds.
