Can't use Xbox controller on Mac/GOG

I'm trying to use an Xbox One controller with my Mac GOG copy of the game. I have installed the latest third party driver to use the controller, which works fine, but the game won't recognize the input. Does anyone know how to fix?

 

google "xbox 360 controller mac"...there will be a github link.... note on mohave version 1.0 and 0.16.11 do not function properly. In fact, they are garbage. They use this driver which is automatically enabled in the preferences and it is crap. The older versions even 0.16.10 don't enable it by default. You. do have to enable the spoof to fool mac to think its a 360 controller an option in the preference pane of system preferences.
