    Hello,

I'm having some pretty aggravating issues with trying to set up and connect to my own LAN server. I've spent several hours trying to fix the problem but have had no success. I'm only trying to play with a friend over the same network (So no Hamachi or anything like that). I've tried port forwarding, and I have watched a multitude of YouTube tutorials to try and solve the issue. Not to mention a couple hours of surfing on various websites and forums for the answers. I could really use some help.

Here's a screenshot of the server log right before it shuts down. The scribbled out section is just my IP address.

    Thanks in advance! :)

Please post your starbound.config. Did you change the gameServerBind to something other than the default? Is that IP address (the one you scribbled out) an IPv4 or IPv6 address?

Port-forwarding is only required if you're behind a NAT (if you're using a router, then you most likely are) and you want people from outside your network to be able to connect to your machine inside your network. If you're just hosting a LAN game, you don't need to do anything other than starting up the server (for a LAN connection, port-forwarding won't do anything anyways).
