double click it or use right click on steam icon and it wont start.

says "running" then quickly "synchronizing" doesnt even open a black window or anything.

    used steam steam://flushconfig and
    "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\bin\SteamService.exe" /repair

and restarted the computer. it still wont start.

        C:\Users\%PC Account Name%\AppData\Roaming\StardewValley

Upload the files in the \ErrorLogs and \Saves folders. To prepare the files for upload to this forum, select the files, right-click, select Send to and click Compressed (zipped) folder. If you are using Steam, use the Verify Cache feature. If not, back up your save files and try reinstalling the game.

Press Windows Key + R, type dxdiag, click the Save all information button on the bottom right and upload the text file.

This happened to me, but I found the game started properly from the source folder, so what I did was clear the .acf manifest files in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps (I put a .old on the end of the existing ones in case something went wrong). I imagine you just need to clear the file that is responsible for launching Stardew but I didn't feel like looking through them all. After that I was able to launch it from Steam again.

When viewing your library, right click the game and select properties. The 'Verify Integrity of Game Cache' is located under the 'Local Files' tab.
