I looked at the tutorial to access the nightly build and deleted my universe/player folders and deleted the starbound.config file but I am still getting this message when trying to play:

    Is there something I'm missing?
    Thank you!

  2. Did you remove any mods you may have installed?

Also, please recreate the error and post your starbound.log file here.

Ah, I didn't know I had a mod installed. Removing that fixed the problem. Thank you!

If I may hijack this thread, I'm also having an issue with the nightly builds. I finally got the menus to load after deleting my mods, player data and .config. But now I get this.

It happens when I try to load a character.

You should delete your Player and Universe folders (Or put them somewhere safe. Incase you want to go back to stable)
    Then Delete the starbound.config

    I hope this helps!

You just told me to do EXACTLY what I just told you I already did.

  7. That's because the fix for your particular issue is a file that exists in your universe folder. There are two .db files with the word "quest" in them. Delete those files and the issue should resolve itself.

    Ah, thanks.
Deleting the whole folder's contents and creating a new character didn't work, it seemed to generate a buggy quest database each time.
Deleting those and only those after making a new character gets that character working.
