Bug/Issue Cannot run Stardew Valley with PlayOnLinux

    I just bought and downloaded the GOG installer for Stardew Valley and ran it using PlayOnLinux. I'm using Fedora 23 and the installment went fine until I ran it and got this error.

      Quoting another person who got this working. Did you install the above required packages?

        This is exactly what you do.

        * CLEAN prefix, starting over fresh.

        *FIRST: install Microsoft Corefonts, then dotnet40 (this will also install dotnet 1 and 2 and the fixes, but not 3 and 3.5), then xna 31 then xna 40.

        * Then install Steam or the GoG version thereof, whichever you own.

        It should then run. However, apparently installing dotnet 3 or 35 will cause it to fail and not run. Which is a shame, because they are required for dotnet45 which is required for SMAPI and Storm, so no mods (other than base edits) for linux users :(

          Well for some reason Wine 1.9.7 (staging and normal for me) seems to fail at running DXSETUP.EXE while installing the required libraries (dxfullsetup & xna40) and inevitably screwing the installation up.

          I went back to 1.8.0 (with PlayOnLinux this is easier) just to install the required libraries and went back to 1.9.7-staging and the game works fine when launched.

          Hope this helps someone with the same problem as me.
